Altered Compositon Notebook That Will Make you think outside the box
Working inside an altered composition notebook had really pushed me to think outside the box when creating. I was stuck in my own head when it came to creating. I found shaking things up with this little notebook has really helped get me out of that creative rut.
Breaking yourself out of a creative funk is never easy but trying a new medium or a new journal is a great way to get started.
An Altered Change of Scenery
I’d had these grid composition books sitting in my stash for ages now, I bought them on a whim with no purpose in mind for them and they sat, waiting.
I was tidying up my stash recently (not a small task!) and I came across them. The grids in the composition book called to me and I thought creating inside this would give me a change of scenery which I was craving.
Collage it up
I’m working with one of my handmade collage sheets today which are always fun to create and use in my work.
Layering up the collage sheets with some simple paint and printed tissue papers created an easy to come together spread.

I'm using Roben-Marie Smith's Mixed Media Essentials stamp set for this spread and I have to say, it's one of my favourites. I may be a little biased though! (Love you Roben-Marie!) New Favourite Supply
It seems like every other week I have a new favourite supply but I am really in love with this new ink I bought from Windsor and Newton. The color is Carmine and it is the most amazing shade of pink magenta and it is super saturated. Blending it with water on this page did nothing to dull it's vibrancy, totally in love!
