Hey there, I’m Karen
Most days you can find me covered in paint and trying to keep the cat from knocking over my dirty paint water. I'm a full time artist and Mummy and I love nothing more than creating with my young daughter by my side.
I am mostly known for my dramatic victorians and of course my found poems.
When it comes to my artwork if it doesn't have a found poem on it, it didn't happen. If you're going to come create with me be sure to bring along your fluorescent colors and gelli plates too.
The things I am most passionate about in life are encouraging and teaching others to pick up their paint brushes and just get started in their mixed media and Art Journaling adventures. I’ve always loved Art and creating ever since I was a child, it’s my happy place. I just want to each crunchy peanut butter all day and help you create something amazing!
I work with artists that need help with creating their own ideas. I don’t believe in teaching you how to create just like me but I do believe in showing you techniques you can use in your own work that will make it your own. We spend too much time scrolling and looking to others for our inspiration. I believe in looking for your own inspiration within your own work, I promise you that you will find amazing things there.
As an Artist I’ve been published in Art Journaling Magazine and served on Design Teams for Stencilgirl, Jessica Sporn Designs and Roben-Marie Smith. I’ve been so lucky to have these amazing opportunities come to me by putting myself and my work out there. I want you to feel confident to do the same and have some amazing things come your way too.

I am obsessed with Walking Dead. Don’t even think about talking to me when it’s on. You’re dead to me when my baby Daryl is on screen
I have a slight obsession when it comes to buying new sketchbooks. So much so my daughter even tells me I am not allowed to buy them anymore.
I live in a one bedroom apartment in Dublin, Ireland. No studio, no fancy set up. Everything I make, shot and film is done on one table in my living room.
I once lent over my work and got so much blue paint on me it went through my top and onto my bra. I am NOT a clean and tidy maker!
I am completely obsessed with skulls. I have skull candles, skull wine glass, skull hair tie...you get the point. If you want to make me happy get me anything with a skull on it please and thank you.
