I was very excited to be involved in the blog hop with Stencilgirl and Amazing Casting Products. Whilst stencils are something that I use every single day 3D embellishments are most certainly not! Mostly because I mainly work inside my journal and I need to make sure I can close the thing!

Don’t forget to scroll down to the end to see how you can enter to win a really awesome prize from Stencilgirl and Amazing Casting Products!

I have to say I was really pleased with how the finished project turned out. Well anything with Frida on it is always a win for me!

The molds I made are all from jewlery I own. Mostly earring but that bunny? I think he might be my favorite! He’s from a lego advent calendar my daughter had and I randomly found him in my jewelry drawer. I think he’s right at home with Frida on this piece, I think I’ll call him Diego!

I really love the gold leaf on the main piece too. The adhesive didn’t take so well to the surface and it gave me this wonder random and worn look to the casting. It really helps to highlight the texture from the earring.

I working with the Warped Holes 9 stencil on this project by Lizzie Mayne and it was a great guide to add my mark marking to!

So without further ado please enjoy the video I made to show you how I made this piece, I hope you enjoy watching. Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up and to subscribe to my channel to keep up to date!

Karen – I absolutely LOVE your Frida and Diego the bunny too! I am quite new to using stencils aside of traditional lettering, but I am inspired to get out my paints and make my own Frida. I have loads of quirky things I’ve molded that would be perfect for her headdress. Thanks so much for sharing your AMAZING project!!
